Manhanttan International Pte Ltd (formerly known as Y2K International Trading Pte Ltd) was incorporated in Singapore in the year 1998 as a trading arm of the group to develop a postal cum retail trading outlet at Block 125 Bukit Merah Lane 1, Singapore 150125.
A decline in the postal business prompted the company to diversify into other trading business while the company continue to seek for viable and innovative products in the international market to compliment the current business of the group. The main aim of the company is to develop a niche market through innovation and strategic alliances with reputable partners that can provide the platform for developing the business in a rapidly changing business environment.
In view of our declining birth rates over the past few years and our government initiative of expanding our local economy through a gradual increase of our population to 6 millions from the current 5 millions people, we envisage a huge demand for quality human resources to meet the growing demand from our local businesses over the next 3 years. In this regard, we have also acquired a Licence from the Manpower Ministry as an Employment Agency to capture a slice of the growing market in this industry.
This will allow us the opportunity to help our local businesses source for and recruit quality manpower to meet their human resources needs. We intend to develop our capability and become a key player in the manpower recruitment and management industry within the next 5 years.
